  • Registration: Registration and check-in will start at 7:00 a.m. at the West Building, Level 1 City Foyer.

  • Opening ceremony will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 in West Ballroom AB.

WELLNESS LOUNGE (Location: Exhibit Hall, Level 1 West Ballroom CD, "Wellness Lounge")

  • For FUN, and wellness, come to the Kinesiology booth in the Exhibit Hall. Kinesiologists from the Canadian Kinesiology Alliance will lead deep breathing exercises, bodyweight exercises, and show you how to get yourselves and your patients moving!

HERO DAWGS (Location: Exhibit Hall, Level 1 West Ballroom CD, "Wellness Lounge")

  • HERO DAWGS Pet Therapy Society is a non-profit organization providing canine-assisted wellness visits to healthcare workers in the critical care units of hospitals throughout British Columbia. The HERO DAWGS will be participating in the WCICC2025 only on Sept 17 and 18. The planned schedule is as follows:

With the theme of "Caring Intensively", we welcome our colleagues from around the globe and look forward to bringing our unique, diverse Canadian culture to all aspects of this exciting event.

At the end of this conference, participants will be able to:

  1. Inspire participants to create learning and work environments that holistically support interprofessional teams in caring for our patients, their caregivers, and the health care team.

  2. Increase awareness of the differences in how critical care is provided around the world and to foster an understanding of what is needed to provide global equity in the provision of critical care.

  3. Support the exchange of knowledge between different professionals for a shared understanding of the current evidence-based care of the critically ill.

Accreditation

This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and approved by Canadian Critical Care Society. You may claim a maximum of 24 hours (credits are automatically calculated).

Through an agreement between the American Medical Association and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the Canadian Critical Care Society designated this live educational activity, the "17th World Congress of Intensive and Critical Care”, for a maximum of 24 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Information on the process to convert Royal College MOC credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme.
